A Step to Advocating for Improved Working Conditions

Whether you’re a health care worker, patient, caregiver, or advocate, now is the time to raise your voice. Our health care system is in crisis—and the people who keep it going are exhausted, overwhelmed, and burning out. Speaking up can feel daunting, but it’s one of the most powerful ways to create change.

We’re here to help make it simple for you to reach out to your elected representatives and demand the support, resources, and respect that health care workers—and all of us—deserve. Your voice matters. Let’s use it.

Across Canada, provincial and territorial governments have significant control over healthcare policies, funding, and services. From wait times and staffing shortages to mental health services and rural care access, MLAs (or MPPs in Ontario, MNAs in Québec, etc.) are the people who can raise your concerns in the legislature and push for change.

Here’s a helpful list of official links to help you find and contact your provincial or territorial representative. These pages let you search by address or browse the current list of members:

Your MLA (or equivalent) can:
•    Bring your healthcare concerns to debates in the legislature
•    Advocate for funding or policy changes to improve services in your community
•    Help you navigate provincial health programs and resources
•    Be a voice for local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare workers

Whether you’re worried about ER closures, long-term care, mental health services, or staffing challenges, your voice matters. A quick email, letter, or phone call to your MLA can help highlight urgent issues and drive meaningful change.

Let us know what other resources could be helpful and we'll get on it!
